Who else misses it? I'll be honest in saying I've only watched to dub, but in my defense, when it was popular and on Toonami and such, I was too young to know they had made a lot of changes in translation. It doesn't change that I miss the series, though. I'm planning on watching at least the subbed Starlight season soon since I'd never seen it (since they never dubbed it), but it looks like a really good season.
I have heard some news, though. They're republishing the manga starting September (but it might be pushed, you know how these things can work). Also, in 2009, FUNimation released a survey asking fans which project they should start on next, and a Sailor Moon re-dub was on it. When I found out about it, I was too late to take it myself, and they didn't post the results, but I read a lot of comments and I'd say 98% of them were about the re-dub. I'm not promising anything, but it looks like a re-dub might be in our future.
And I know some people are sub-purists and don't like watching dubs, probably because they've have one bad experience too many with them, but at least think of all the new merchandise and such that'd come with it. Wallscrolls, figures, plushies, et cetera...
I know it's bad to get my hopes up for something that isn't even confirmed yet, but I grew up with Sailor Moon and she's one of my childhood heroes, so the thought of the series getting big again makes me really happy.
Soooo~ Who's your favorite Sailor Senshi/Scout?
My favorite's Sailor Star Healer, but if only counting Solar System Senshi, then my favorite's Jupiter.
